I really appreciated that, it made my whole trip much more enjoyable. The airline lost my luggage, but both the evening and morning front desk staff made sure to get it to me after the airline delivered it to them. Last but not least, I have to say the staff was terrifically helpful. So it is a limited menu (there are a few other choices) but you certainly won't go away hungry. (For example, Day 1 I got bacon and eggs and hash browns with toast and juice, and Day 2 I got a small platter of French Toast with bacon and juice). Breakfast is served in the adjacent restaurant (you get a voucher from the front desk before going in), and order off a limited menu that still offers generous portions. The room was of good size, two lounge chairs which I really appreciated (I hate when hotel rooms don't have a place to sit.) Bed was a bit hard for my taste, which was my only real complaint. As for the Lodge itself, I found it comfortable and enjoyed my stay. So at least part of the decorations and such for the lodge are related to this. He collected a great deal of memorabilia on the Space Program (remember a lot of the astronauts trained in Northern AZ for the moon landing expeditions) and used the hotel building/decorations to see what effects he could create as part of this. Park of his efforts including seeing how various metals from his mining operations could be used toward the space program. First things first, it is the "Space Age Lodge" because the original builder (property was built in 1964/65) was originally a mine operator who was really into the space program. I spent two nights in this hotel and found it comfortable and enjoyable.
