It’s like Kevin Spacey’s final scene in The Usual Suspects, except here it’s the film itself that turns out to be Keyser Söze. ![]() From the very title down to just before the closing credits, we never for a second think we’re doing anything other than watching a typical Soderberghian thriller however, the skillful filmmaker has an ace up his sleeve, which he does not reveal until the very end. More importantly, No Sudden Move is subtle and cunning. Nearly two hours long, No Sudden Move might actually be close to too much of a good thing, but it’s definitely a marked improvement over Let Them All Talk, Soderbergh’s previous film (it’s also a lot better than his follow-up, Kimi).
